Murata's NMUSB202MC surface mount DC-DC converter module provides dual-port USB data isolation from a single upstream port, while each downstream port can provide full power (500mA).
Isolation effectively disconnects ground loops and is resistant to EMI in the harsh environments found in industrial and medical applications. It has all the features of a two-port isolated USB hub, including an isolated DC-DC converter that covers an area of 2.4cm x 2.4cm.
Automatic switching supports full speed (12Mbps) and low speed (1.5Mbps). 5V input power is provided by an external "adapter" or system voltage rail.
The company said that the NMUSB202MC module is fully compliant with the USB 2.0 specification, enabling easy "plug and play" operation with any USB compatible device.
